Rev Doug and Noela Baigrie

(Though there are others, these are two of the best people I know - Web Master)

About The Senior Pastor:

Born and reared on a produce & poultry farm at Elimbah fifty Kilometers north of Brisbane in South East Queensland to wonderful Christian Parents, Bill and Phyllis Baigrie. Doug started work after year ten as an Apprentice Electrical Fitter Mechanic for a firm in Caboolture for five years.

Doug studied at the Melbourne Bible Institute in Australia graduating with a Two Year College Diploma in Theology during the years 1968-69. After which he returned to Queensland to marry Noela and join her in managing an electrical contracting business for a very understanding Owner Dick Black for three years.

There seemed to be a call on Doug's life to be released from employment, and to follow his passion for ministry. There also came a deep conviction to begin a separate Christian Fellowship, having resigned from positions in his beloved Methodist Church in Australasia. Doug served as Circuit Steward and Lay Preacher for about three years in the country town of Kilcoy Queensland and, prior to the "Church Union" forming the Uniting Church in Australia, The Bible Methodist Church Kilcoy Fellowship was born during 1973.

Doug and Noela acted as Lay Pastors voluntarily in building the Fellowship in Kilcoy until subsequently linking with the Bible Methodist Church of Australia which began in Ipswich Queensland in 1968.

Later Doug was dedicated as Lay Pastor on the 10th of October 1982, and subsequently ordained on 28th. March 2004.

Doug and Noela continue to operate an Electrical Business as their means of support in their ministry. We have two happily married sons, one Daughter married 25th. October 2008, two Grand Daughters, two Grand Sons, and Doug and Noela feel blessed of God.

The longing in  Doug’s and Noela's hearts is to be released  to fulltime ministry, as "Tent Ministry" is very demanding when coping with Weddings, Funerals, Pastoral Care, and Preaching,  all sandwiched  between  secular work.  The first step in achieving this end was realised in November 2006 when the Retail arm of their business was sold; leaving Doug to maintain his electrical contracting business in a tailored”  operation in order to become more flexibly available for full time Christian Pastoral work. Their invitation to all who wish to know more about the work of the Bible Methodist Church of Australia is, to simply give us a call
